You can visit the paleontological site, which was discovered during mining activities at the“Fumanya” mine. It is one of the most important paleontological sites in Europe with more than 3500 dinosaur footprints over 65 million years old.
In “Fumanya” you can learn the relationship between geology, mining and paleontology. It is about the formation of the Pyrenees, dinosaurs and coal. This site was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 2014 and is currently part of the candidature to be a Natural World Heritage Site of UNESCO, together with other sites in the Iberian Peninsula.
